Valentine treat feast coming to the zooAnother holiday, another adorable photo opportunity at the Woodland Park Zoo. This Thursday, zoo staff will give its pair of river otters heart-shaped ice pops for Valentine's Day.

The pops, made of fruit juice, smelt, carrots and "a whole lotta love" are one way zoo staff keep animals curious and visitors engaged.

Other animals, including sloth bears, penguins and red pandas will get a taste of these and other treats presented by Franz Bakeries on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Among the zoo's past food-related photo opps: "Turkey Toss" on Thanksgiving, "Pumpkins for Hippos" on Halloween and "Red, White and Zoo" treats for July 4. Sunny and Duncan, the otters, get their pops at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
