African Serval Escapes From Norman ZooOfficials say a young African serval has escaped from a Norman zoo.

Little River Zoo executive director Janet Schmid says employees noticed the 8-month-old cat missing Sunday afternoon when they went to feed the serval, her brother and her sister.

Schmid believes the feline maneuvered her body outside an enclosure. She says the animal isn't considered a danger to anyone.

Servals are long-legged African wildcats that have tawny coats dotted with black spots and large, erect and untufted ears.

Schmid says the zoo's escaped serval has a slender face and weighs between 10 and 12 pounds. She stands between 16 and 18 inches tall.
